US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo highly appreciated Bangladesh for manufacturing and exporting

Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) to the United States market, terming it a ‘significant milestone’.

Pompeo, responding to US Ambassador Earl Miller’s tweet, said, “I join @USAmbBangladesh in congratulating Bangladesh for this significant milestone. International partnerships like these are crucial as companies focus their production on supplying the PPE needed by frontline workers around the world.”

Earlier, Ambassador Miller in a twitter statement welcomed Bangladesh to the club of world-class PPE manufacturing nations.

“Pleased to welcome #Bangladesh to the club of world-class, large-scale #PPE manufacturing nations. This @Beximco_Group - @Hanes flagship partnership is the best of US & Bangladesh working together to beat #COVID19. #InThisTogether #PPEfromBeximco #USBDPartnership,” reads the tweet by Miller.

It is mentionable here that Beximco Group exported 6.5 million Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) gowns to US brand Hanes for ultimate delivery to the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) on May 25.

As the exporter of the PPE, Bangladesh has joined the select group of countries that manufacture world-class PPE on a large-scale.
