Bus fare hiked for owners’ interest: Fakhrul

The Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) secretary general Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir on Monday said bus fare has been hiked after withdrawal of lockdown situation, for the interest of owners of the bus.

 “It is totally inhuman act has been done. People are suffering a lot as the bus fare has been increased. The fare has been increased for the interest of owners,” he said.

The BNP leader came up with the statement while addressing a press briefing at the party chairperson Khaleda Zia’s Gulshan office in the capital.

Mirza Fakhrul said, “On the other hand, the bus owners are also being given incentives, donation. The entire matter is being done for plundering. All concerned are taking highest opportunity of corruption.”

 About test kit of Ganashasthya, he said Dr Zafrullah Chowdhury’s test kit didn’t get approval while “in news papers we have seen that various types of business and corruption are going on with coronavirus test kit.”

Fakhrul also placed 10point proposal for farmers and agriculture due to the crisis caused by coronavirus of the country. The BNP secretary general also announced programmes of Jatiyatabadi Krishak Dal to stand by the farmers.
