Two more die in Ctg

CHATTOGRAM: Two more corona patients died at Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of Chattogram General Hospital on Sunday.

With this, 77 corona affected patients died in Chattogram so far.  The deceased were an 80-year-old resident of Majhirghat area and a 65-year-old resident of Akbar Shah area in the city.

Besides, 279 more patients were detected as corona positive at four existing testing centres in Chattogram and Cox's Bazar on Saturday.

Among the patients, 188 are from the city and 91 from different upazilas in the district.  Chattogram district Civil Surgeon Dr Sheikh Fazle Rabbi said that 1,219 samples were tested at three labs in Chattogram and Cox’s Bazar, and 279 of them were found as positive on Friday.

The results include the pending samples for three days at the Bangladesh Institute of Tropical and Infectious Disease (BITID) lab.

Mentionable, a total of 2,867 persons were detected as corona positive while 77 of them died and 224 recovered in Chattogram district till Sunday.

The BITID, Chattogram General Hospital, Chattogram Medical College Hospital and Chattogram Field Hospital are providing treatment to the corona patients in Chattogram.
