Pass rate rises in Ctg

CHATTOGRAM: The pass rate of the Secondary School Certificate (SSC) examinations marked a rise compared to the previous years held under Chattogram Education Board.

 A total of 121,888 student, out of 143,823 successfully passed the examination this year.   The number of GPA-5 achievers stood at 9,008 this year against 7,393 in the previous year.

 The board witnessed an increase by 6.64 per cent in pass rate and 1,615 students in GPA-5 scorers compared to the previous occasion.  Pass rate and number of the top graders were 75.50 per cent and 8,094 in the SSC examinations held under the board in 2018.

 Among the passed students of this year, 55,839 are male and 66,049 female and their pass percentages are 84.93 and 84.60 per cent respectively.

In terms of GPA-5 scorers, Chattogram Collegiate School topped the list for the fourth consecutive time with 99.79 per cent pass rate and 438 examinees out of the 469 passed students obtaining GPA-5.
