SP Abida Sultana sets example of humanity

LALMONIRHAT: Superintendent of Police (SP) in Lalmonirhat district Abida Sultana is assisting an ultra poor family for the treatment of their six-year old burnt child at Fulgachh village in Lalmonirhat. Liza Akhter, the youngest daughter of the impoverished Abu Bakbar Siddique and Samiron Nesha of the village, was in the home without treatment where she was fighting for life. Upon receiving such news Superintendent of Police Abida Sultana admitted the child at Rangpur Medical College Hospital on April 4 and arranged treatment.

The Liza’s father day laborer Abu Bakkar Siddique said, she was the youngest of their three daughters. Towards the end of March, she was burnt while she was getting warm burning straws in the home.

They could not take the girl to hospital for treatment due to money problems. Finally SP stood by their side. The SP is also providing food support and cash aid the victim family.
