Bangladesh Football Federation (BFF) Technical Director Stuart Watkiss sponsored a one-day lunch programme for the poor people in Dhaka on Sunday.
Watkiss, also the assistant coach, followed the footsteps of his compatriot and Bangladesh National Football Team Head Coach Jamie Day and sponsored the lunch joining BFF's initiative during coronavirus pandemic.BFF has been running ‘feeding’ program for the poor and day-laborers at BFF House in the capital since March 27 as a part of their social responsibility programme. They will continue it until the government withdraws lockdown.
The 53-year old Watkiss also sent a video message expressing his well-wishes for all and urged to follow the government and medical experts’ advice to keep the coronavirus at the bay.
“Please follow all the government’s advice, the advice of medical experts. We need to reinforce the correct course of action, hopefully, to keep this disease at the bay. I would like to fund for lunch and sending my best wishes to everybody,” he concluded.
