Postal services to resume on limited scale

The government has decided to keep the post offices open on a limited scale between 10am and 1:00pm from Sunday (April 5) across the country which aims to continue transaction of savings, mobile money orders and parcel services.

During the limited scale operation, the postal vans will transport the parcels in the districts while the upazila level postal vans will operate their services as per the advice of the local administrations.

The COVID-19 equipment and accessories will get top priority during the operation of parcel services.

During office hours, officials of the post offices must use face masks, hand gloves, sanitizers and maintain social distances.

Meanwhile, Bangladesh has so far reported six deaths from the coronavirus. Besides, 24 patients are currently under treatment in the country while 26 others have already made recovery.
