Expeditioners cruise past icebergs in an inflatable boat near the ADD’s Mawson Station in Antarctica

Expeditioners cruise past icebergs in an inflatable boat near the ADD’s Mawson Station in Antarctica. Inside Australia’s four remote Antarctic research bases, some 89 people find themselves ensconced on the only COVID-19 coronavirus-free continent as they watch their old home transform beyond recognition. The photo was taken on February 6, 2020 and released on March 31, 2020 by the Australian Antarctic Division (AAD).     —AFP PHOTO
