The Federation of Bangladesh Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FBCCI) will start a two-day programme starting Wednesday to spray disinfectant from Narayanganj to Uttara in the capital as part of its effort to fight coronavirus.
The apex trade body has teamed up with the Bangladesh Tank Lorry Association and the two city corporation to implement the programme, according to a press release issued on Tuesday.It said 20 tank lorries will be used in the disinfection work, which will start in front of the FBCCI Icon Tower at Motijheel at 9:30 am on Wednesday. To implement the project, four routes have been chosen so that the programme covers most of Dhaka city, including Uttara and Gabtoli.
The first route is Motijheel to Gabtoli (Motijheel-GPO-Shahbagh-Elephant Road-Jigatola-Mohammedpur-Asad Gate-Shyamoli-Gabtoli). Five tank lorries will be used in this route.
The second route is Motijheel to Uttara (Motijheel-Fakirerpool-Kakrail-Shantinagar, Malibagh-Rampura- Notun Bazar-Biswa Road-Airport-Uttara). Five tank lorries will operate in this route.
Another five tank lorries will operate in the third route—Motijheel to Gushan (Motijheel-Kamlapur-Rajarbagh-Shahjahanpur-Rampura-Hatirjheel-Gulshan.)
The fourth route will cover Motijheel to Narayanganj. (Motijheel -Gulistan-Nawabpur, English Road-Babu Bazar-Chunkatia-Narayanganj).
