All the banks and their branches across the country have started providing banking services from Sunday during the general holiday following a directive from Bangladesh Bank.
The banks will remain open from 10:00 am to 12:00 during the time for providing services to their clients.They will limit their services only to cash withdrawal and cash deposit during the time.
Earlier on Wednesday, the central bank announced resumption of limited banking services for limited time following coronavirus situation in the country. However, the banks advised their clients to prefer the use of ATM booths, Mobile Financial Service (MFS) and online transactions.
According to the central bank’s guideline, the bank can open their branches for operating foreign exchanges transaction to meet emergency export-import demand and ATM booths and others emergency services as per their required need.
