BCB ready to handover stadiums for quarantine

Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) officials said on Friday that they are ready to offer any kind of assistance to the government which includes using the facility of their stadiums in order for the stadiums to be used as quarantine facilities.

In the wake of coronavirus outbreak more than three billion people around the world are living under lockdown as governments have stepped up their efforts against the coronavirus pandemic which has left more than 21,000 people dead.

In Bangladesh 48 people are infected with the virus while 6 people have already died due to it till date.

“We are ready to do anything to help in the fight against this crisis,” BCB Media Committee Chairman Jalal Yunus told daily sun on Friday.

“If government asks us, we will certainly hand over the facility. Anything that is need of the hour, we will do it. There is absolutely no problem,” he said.

“Not only Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in the capital but we have stadiums elsewhere also and BCB President Nazmul Hasan Papon has said that if it is required than we will come forward with whatever we have in our possession,” he said.

“In this time of crisis we need to cooperate with the government in every possible manner,” he concluded.
