Baridhara Park Road renamed after Norodom Sihanouk

‘Baridhara Park Road’ in the city’s diplomatic zone was renamed ‘King Norodom Sihanouk Road’ on Wednesday.

The government renamed the road in honour of the late Architect of Cambodia.

Local Government, Rural Development and Cooperatives Minister Md Tajul Islam and State Minister for Foreign Affairs Md Shahriar Alam unveiled the plaque of the road at the entrance of the road at 11:00am on the day.

The minister said, Cambodia named a road of Phnom Penh after Bangabandhu in 2017. 

Dhaka North City Corporation panel mayor Jamal Mostafa, Secretary of State of Cambodian Ministry of Foreign Affairs Eat Sophea, Local Government Division's senior secretary Helaluddin Ahmed and foreign secretary Masud Bin Momen were also present.
