BNP candidate pledges to make Ctg a healthy city

CHATTOGRAM: Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) nominated mayoral candidate for the upcoming Chattogram City Corporation (CCC) election Dr Shahadat Hossain promised to develop Chattogram as a healthy city by ensuring cleanliness and making it environment-friendly after winning the election.   

“I will make the city people-friendly and free of waterlogging and other sufferings,” he said.  

Dr Shahadat said these while addressing at a reception accorded to him after reaching Chattogram from Dhaka at Party Office premises in the city’s Kajir Dewri area on Wednesday.        

BNP Chattogram city unit organised the reception for its Dr Shahadat Hossain.      Addressing the gathering, he said he will turn Chattogram as a top tourist attraction and take initiative to save the river Karnaphuli from pollution.

The BNP candidate also announced to continue the movement for release of the BNP Chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia from jail.
