Bangladesh skipper Mominul Haque has changed his jersey number to seven (07) in the one off Test series against Zimbabwe.

Since his debut in 2012, the current Bangladesh skipper Mominul, started his journey in red ball cricket with number ‘68’ on his back. But the skipper was seen wearing number seven jersey on the first day of the solitary Test against Zimbabwe at Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium.

Mominul took over the captaincy role, with the two-match Test series against India. The ongoing Test against Zimbabwe was the fourth Test for the Tigers under his leadership.

Unfortunately, the newly appointed skipper is yet to bring anything to cheer for the Tigers. Along with the team, the skipper is also not having a good form in terms of his individual performance, as the captain managed to score only 71 runs in total of both innings in Rawalpindi Test against Pakistan.

And on top of that, the team also suffered three innings-defeats under his captaincy.

Just like in Football, players have been seen bringing changes in their appearance in their match-day if they go through goal drought for quite a while.

Now, skipper Mominul’s decision to change his jersey number to seven might be an effort from the captain to bring the first feather to his captaincy record after suffering three disappointing Test losses. But the question remains, whether lucky ‘seven’ can bring luck to Mominul?
