Speakers at a seminar on Monday called upon the authorities concerned to reduce carbon emissions to avoid health hazards.

The National Museum of Science and Technology organised the seminar styled ‘Reduce carbon Emissions: Save Life’ at its office in the capital.

Addressing the programme, NMST Director General Munir Chowdhury said that all have the rights to lead a sound life.

“Trees, which give oxygen and release carbon dioxide, are being fallen. Pollution from US–China trade harms people across the globe,” he said.

Calling upon all to boycott plastic materials, he urged all to use jute-made materials to avoid health hazard.

Director of National Academy for Planning and Development Dr Nuruzzaman was present as the special guest while some 185 students of a Savar School attended the programme.
