Basanta festival held at IU

A day-long Basanta Reception Festival was held at the Islamic University, Kushtia on Saturday.

Bangla Department of the university organised the programme.

Marking the day, teachers, students and officials, led by IU vice-chancellor Prof Dr Md Harun-Ur-Rashid Askari, of the university brought out a colourful procession on the campus.

After parading the main road of the campus, the procession ended at the Bangla Mukta Manch where a discussion and cultural show was held.

Prof Askari inaugurated the programme and spoke as the chief guest at the discussion programme.

Bangla Department chairman and student adviser Prof Dr M Saidur Rahman chaired the discussion where IU pro-VC Prof Dr M Shahinoor Rahman and treasurer Prof Dr M Selim Toha were present as the special guests.
