Indian Visa Application Centre (IVAC) at Jamuna Future Park was awarded ISO 9001:2015 quality certification for its consistent high quality service delivery.

The High Commission of India (HCI) in Dhaka said this in a Facebook post on Friday.

“We are proud to announce that High Commission of India, Dhaka’s #Visa submission & delivery Centre- ‘Indian Visa Application Centre at (IVAC) Jamuna Future Park’ #IVAC, managed by State Bank of India (SBI) has been awarded ISO 9001:2015 quality certification on Thursday for its consistent high quality service delivery,” according to a Facebook post of the HCI.

The HCI inaugurated the new integrated state-of-the-art Indian Visa Application Centre (IVAC), the largest ever Indian visa centre in the world, at Jamuna Future Park (JFP) in Dhaka on July 14, 2018.

The then Indian Home Minister Rajnath Singh along with his Bangladesh counterpart Asaduzzaman Khan formally opened the centre by handing over passports with Indian visas to a couple of visa applicants.

Former Indian High Commissioner in Dhaka Harsh Vardhan Shringla was pioneer in opening such a huge visa centre to remove the suffering of Bangladeshis seeking Indian visa.
