Chittagong University Model United Nations Association (CUMUNA) is going to organise the ‘Chittagong University Symbol UN Conference 2020’ (CUMUN20) from January 29.

The four-day conference with the theme ‘Involving youth to Rejuvenate the Global Response on Combating Climate Change’ will be participated by delegates from different educational institutions of the country.

More than 350 representatives from over 50 educational institutions will be divided into nine academically diverse committees at the conference, organisers said.

They will propose timely solutions through their diplomatic skills to unveil a new door for establishing peace in the globe.

The Model UN conference is appreciated across the world. It is an extracurricular activity where students can practice public speaking, diplomacy and country-based research, they said.

To help the delegates for better research, a preparation tool was launched on the official website ( of the conference on the first day of 2020.

The CUMUN'20 Secretary General Mahtab Uddin Chowdhury said the practise of model UN always has widespread activities that require the hard work and enthusiasm for acquiring knowledge by a student.

A total of 96 secretariat members have been working tirelessly to provide the educative support and highest level hospitality to more than 350 young delegates from home and abroad, he said.

“I believe, the event will also be ended successfully like the previous occasions,” added the secretary general.
