Bangladesh Under-19 National Cricket Team left-arm medium pacer Mrittunjoy Chowdhury said on Monday that they are eyeing to hold on to their winning momentum as they are preparing to take on Scotland in their second game of the ongoing ICC Under-19 World Cup in South Africa.
In the rain-interrupted first match, Bangladesh beat Zimbabwe by 9 wickets to start their campaign on the right note. While Bangladesh registered their first win in their first match, Scotland suffered a 7-wicket defeat against Pakistan but according to Mrittunjoy they are making sure that they are well aware about the strength of the Scottish team.
“Every time we play we only aim to win,” Mrittunjoy told reporters ahead of their second game of the group phase.
“We played well in the last match against Zimbabwe and we will try to continue that winning streak,” he said.
“We have not played against them (Scotland) before but saw their batting videos in the ICC website. They did not play well and we are very hopeful we will do well against them,” he said.
“It feels good to win the first match of any tournament. The first win was good for us and more so because everybody performed well,” he said.
