Bashundhara Group Chairman Ahmed Akbar Sobhan on Monday said that there are many newspapers throughout the country and more will come, but no newspaper will survive without quality.

Bashundhara Group Chairman made the comment, as he greeted Rupayan Group Chairman Liaquat Ali Khan with a bouquet at a programme marking the first anniversary of the daily Desh Rupantor at Rupayan Tower in the city’s Banglamotor area.

Bashundhara Group Vice-Chairman Shafiat Sobhan was also present on the occasion.

The Bashundhara Group Chairman further said that the daily Desh Rupantor has the capability to ensure quality journalism.

Urging business people for branding Bangladesh around the world, he said that the only aim of their coming to the media was to brand Bangladesh.

“We are working on how to brand Bangladesh. Besides, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina is working tirelessly to fulfill the dream of Bangabandhu’s Sonar Bangla.

“We hope that soon we will be able to turn Bangladesh into a developed country,” said the chairman.

Among others, Kaler Kantho Editor Imdadul Haq Milan, Acting Editor Mostofa Kamal and Editor Jewel Mazhar were also present on the occasion.
