52 gold bars recovered at Ctg airport

CHATTOGRAM: Officials of Customs recovered 52 pieces of gold bar from a flight of Bangladesh Biman Airlines at Chattogram Shah Amanat International Airport in the city on Sunday.

The Customs Deputy Commissioner (DC) Md Riyadul Islam said on information, they recovered the gold bars kept tactfully in boarding bridge area of the Chattogram-bound flight no BG-148 from Dubai at 8:45am.

Market price of the gold bars weighing 6.084 kilograms would be around Tk 3.6 crore, he said.  

None could be arrested in this connection, said the DC. 

Filing of a case in this connection was under process, he added.
