Boat Capsize in Turkey

Bodies of four Bangladeshis may arrive tomorrow

The bodies of four Bangladeshis, who died in a boat capsize in eastern Turkey’s Lake Van on December 25 last year, are expected to arrive in Dhaka on Friday.

According to a press release of Bangladesh Embassy in Turkey, the embassy with the support of Turkish authorities has completed preparations to send the bodies of the ill-fated Bangladeshi nationals. The bodies are likely to be sent to the country by air, it said.

The dead were identified as (1) Md Alal Miya, son of Jamshed Mia of village Chechan under Chhatak thana in Sunamganj district, (2) Mijanur Rahman, son of Mojibur Rahman of village Pajgada under Chhatak thana in Sunamganj district, (3) Syed Gaysal Ahmed, son of Syed Ahmed of village Muslimfdar under Balaganj thana of Sylhet and (4) Chowdhury UA Yousha Osmani, son of Chowdhury UA Osmany Yusuf of village Shatgaon under Khaliajuri thana of Netrakona district.
