SEID (Society for Education and Inclusion of the Disabled) on Wednesday placed a set of recommendation to ensure rights and protection of people with disabilities.

At a human chain held in front of National Museum in Shahbagh, they demanded steps to activate Dhaka District Committee that was formed in line with Persons with Disabilities Rights and Protection Act 2013 for ensuring rights of persons with disabilities.

At the programme, officials of SEID recommended holding four meetings yearly and publish details of the meetings in the website.

SEID chairperson Ranjan Karmakar and former district judge and law adviser of BLAST SM Rezaul Karim, among others, were present at the programme.

SEID under the USAID’s Expanding Participation of People with Disability (EPD) has been raising awareness about the rights of people with disabilities.
