4th ICGEEE begins at DIU

A three-day 4th International Conference on ‘Globalization, Entrepreneurship and Emerging Economies (ICGEEE) began at Daffodil International University (DIU) on Sunday.

DIU in association with the Centre for Innovation Leadership Navigation (CILN), UK is organising the conference in the country.

Chairman of Bangladesh Accreditation Council Prof Mesbahuddin Ahmed inaugurated the conference as the chief guest while Vice Chancellor of Bangabandhu Sjeikh Mujibur Rahman Maritime University (BSMRMU) Rear Admiral Mohammad Khaled Iqbal was present as the special guest.

Acting DIU VC Prof Dr Ahmed Ismail Mostafa, Center for Innovative Leadership Navigation, London, UK Mark T Jones, Chairman of Board of Trustees of DIU Dr Md Sabur Khan and Convener of 4th International Conference on Globalization Prof Dr Masum Iqbal were also present.

In his speech, Prof Mesbahuddin Ahmed said Bangladesh needs quality education as well as outcome based education. This conference will encourage the young researcher, innovator and entrepreneurs to ensure quality education, he added.

Rear Admiral Mohammad Khaled Iqbal said it is not possible to ensure development in education sector without research and new innovation.
