‘Strict action will be taken on fertiliser waste’

State Minister for Industries Kamal Ahmed Mojumder on Sunday said strict measures will be taken if fertilizers are wasted due to management’s negligence.

“The concerned authorities will have to be more responsible for properly preserving fertilizers,” he said while visiting the ‘Fertilizer Preserve and Supply’ at Nowapara Transit Point in Jashore, said a press release in the capital, reports BSS.

Kamal Mojumder said the government has ensured the enough supply of fertilizer across the country. “At present, the stock of the fertilizer is around nine lakh metric tons in the country. Besides, we are importing fertilizer from abroad,” he added.

Bangladesh Chemical Industries Corporation (BCIC) Chairman Md Haiul Quaium was present on the occasion among others.
