Opposition Jatiya Party (JP) Chairman GM Quader on Saturday alleged that the party has become weak due to internal conspiracy.

“Jatiya Party was the main political force of the country until 1990. Though effort was made to weaken the party after 1991 by carrying out oppression, attacks and filing cases, the then government couldn’t weaken it. But the party has become weak due to its internal feud,” he said.

The JP chief made the statements at the council session of Jatiya Swechchhasebak Party at Institution of Engineers, Bangladesh in Ramna of the capital. He also asked the Jatiya Party leaders and activists to be alert for any internal conspiracy.

He believed that the Jatiya Party is geared up to take responsibility for the country as well as its people.

Liakat Hossain Khoka chaired the programme which was addressed, among others, by Jatiya Party leaders Moshiur Rahman Ranga, SM Faysal Chisti, Ziauddin Ahmed Bablu and Golam Kibria Tipu.
