Int’l math conference begins at DU

A three-day long International Mathematics Conference has begun at Nabab Nawab Ali Chowdhury Senate Bhaban of Dhaka University on Friday, said a press relrase Dhaka University Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr Md Akhtaruzzaman inaugurated the event as chief guest. The Department of Applied Mathematics of DU and Bangladesh Mathematical Society have jointly organised this conference with a theme of “Mathematics: Challenges and Reality”.

President of Bangladesh Mathematical Society Professor Dr Md Mubarak Hossain presided over the inaugural function while Dean of the Faculty of Science of DU Professor Dr Tofail Ahmed Chowdhury addressed it as special guest.

It may be mentioned that academicians and researchers from Bangladesh, France, Germany, Japan, Australia, USA, KSA, Nepal, South Africa, Portugal, Philippines,   Ireland, and India are participating in the conference.
