‘Iti, Tomari Dhaka’ to be released on Netflix

Impress Telefilm’s first anthology film ‘Iti, Tomari Dhaka’ (Sincerely Yours, Dhaka) is all set to release on Netflix soon.

The film’s creative producer Abu Shahed Emon announced the news at a special screening session of the film at a cinema hall in the capital recently.

Netflix has around 16 crore subscribers across the world. Apart from ‘Iti, Tomari Dhaka’, the only film from Bangladesh which has been already added to the library of Netflix is ‘Komola Rocket’. Directed by Noor Imran Mithu, this was also Impress Telefilm’s movie.

Impress Telefilm’s managing director Faridur Reza Sagar said, “Impress Telefilm is tried to represent our film to the world. Following this streak ‘Iti, Tomari Dhaka’ is set to have its online premiere on Netflix.”

Earlier ‘Iti, Tomari Dhaka’ was released in Bangladesh on November 15 and is currently running in cinema halls. The film had its world premiere at the 23rd Busan International Film Festival last year, held in South Korea.

‘Iti, Tomari Dhaka’ has been participated in numerous international film festivals across the world.

More than 50 actors appear in the film where the leading roles have been played by Nusrat Imrose Tisha, Fazlur Rahman Babu, Iresh Zaker, Lutfor Rahman George, Shatabdi Wadud, Shahataj Munira Hashem, Allen Shuvro, Mostafa Monwar, Manoj Kumar Pramanik, Orchita Sporshia, Tropa Mazumadar and many more.

Eleven young film-makers of the anthology are- Golam Kibria Farooki, Krishnendu Chattopadhyay, Nuhash Humayun, Mahmudul Islam, Mir Mukarram Hossain, Rahat Rahman, Robiul Alam, Syed Saleh Ahmed Sobhan, Syed Ahmed, Tamim Noor and Tanvir Ahsan.
