Korea, Bangladesh celebrate KOICA alumni night

The Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) and KOICA Bangladesh Alumni Association (KBAA) organised annual event ‘KOICA Bangladesh Alumni Night 2019’ at the InterContinental Dhaka in the city on Thursday to celebrate and strengthen the friendly relations between Bangladesh and Korea.

Md Nojibur Rahman, Principal Secretary to the Prime Minister, was present as the chief guest while Nazrul Islam, Secretary of Road, Transport and Bridges Ministry was present as the special guest.

President of KBAA Monzur Hossain MP, also Chairman of Rupali Bank Limited, Ambassador of the Republic of Korea to Bangladesh Hu Kang-il and Country Director of KOICA Bangladesh Office Joe Hyun-Gue and high-level dignitaries were also present in the event.

Md Nojibur Rahman expressed his sincere appreciation for KOICA’s contribution emphasizing that Bangladesh like Korea can also reach the developed country status by 2041.

Nazrul Islam, who is also Vice President of KBAA, appreciated KOICA’s invitational fellowship programs and mentioned Korea’s increasing role in Bangladesh’s economic growth through Korean investments and economic cooperation.
