The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) on Tuesday seized Land Rover Defender, a luxurious vehicle, owned by Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC) councillor Tariquzzaman Rajib who was arrested form his Mohammadpur residence in the city recently.

A team led by commission assistant director Mamunur Rashid Chowdhury seized the vehicle and filed a general diary at Mohammadpur Police Station informing that two more vehicles are still there, said the commission’s public relations officer Pranab Kumar Bhattacharjee. He said the two vehicles were not seized as they are out of order.

On November 6, the commission filed a case against Tariquzzaman Rajib, councillor of ward 33, for allegedly accumulating illegal wealth worth Tk 26.16 crore.
