‘Successful entrepreneurs to make digital Bangladesh’

State Minister for Information and Communication Technology (ICT) Zunaid Ahmed Palak on Tuesday said that successful entrepreneurs will make digital Bangladesh.

“The government wants young entrepreneurs to be successful entrepreneurs instead of moving for jobs. Scope of many jobs will be created if an entrepreneur is successful. That is why the government will assist in creating technology-based young entrepreneurs,” he said.

Palak came up with the remarks while inaugurating ‘Bangladesh University Young Entrepreneurs Sponsorship Activities’ at Bangladesh Krishibid Institute in the city.

He said the government will help to make 1000 startups by 2021 and the successful entrepreneurs will build up the digital Bangladesh.

Bangladesh University lunched startup and it may be launched in 150 universities gradually but the BU will be the pioneer in this regard, he said.

Palak urged youths to become digital entrepreneurs for contributing to government’s efforts to make digital Bangladesh for reaching ICT services to the people’s doorsteps.

Bangladesh University Trustee Board Chairman Quazi Jamil Azher presided over the event while Grameenphone CEO Michael Patrick Foley was present as special guest and Market Access CEO Chris Burry was keynote speaker at the ceremony.
