Bangladesh hosts APAC Scouts workshop

A four-day Asia-Pacific (APAC) Scouts workshop to promote adults’ participation in the global humanitarian movement began on Saturday.

In association with the World Organisation of Scout Movement, Bangladesh Scouts hosted international gatherings at National Scout Training Centre in Gazipur, said a news release on Sunday.

A total of 58 participants from 10 countries include Bangladesh, Bhutan, India, Indonesia, Nepal, Vietnam, Singapore, Hong Kong, Japan and Maldives attended the Asia-Pacific regional workshop.

Bangladesh Scouts Chief National Commissioner Mozammel Haque Khan, also Anti-Corruption Commission Commissioner, inaugurated the workshop.

Prime Minister’s Office Principal Coordinator of SDGs Abul Kalam Azad, also Bangladesh Scouts President, is scheduled to be present at the International Night today, the third day of the workshop, as the chief guest.
