KOICA opens regional skill development centre in Rajshahi

The ‘Rajshahi Technical Training Centre’ (RTTC), a regional skill development centre, was inaugurated in Rajshahi on Friday.

Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) in collaboration with Bureau of Manpower, Employment and Training (BMET) of the Ministry of Expatriates’ Welfare and Overseas Employment (MoEWOE) jointly organised the event.

Expatriates' Welfare and Overseas Employment Minister Imran Ahmad inaugurated the TTC while Country Director of KOICA Joe Hyungue, State Minister for Foreign Affairs Md Shahriar Alam, Chairman of Parliamentary Standing Committee Barrister Anisul Islam Mahmud, Mayor of Rajshahi City Corporation Md A H M Khairuzzaman Liton, lawmaker of Rajshahi-2 Fazle Hossain Badsha were present as the special guests in the event.

In his speech, Minister Imran Ahmed expressed his gratitude to Korean government for opening this new horizon in developing skilled human resources in Bangladesh, which will be able to produce highly skilled manpower to meet the increasing demand of both local and overseas job markets.
