PKSF Development Fair kicks off Thursday

A seven-day long Palli Karma-Sahayak Foundation (PKSF) Development Fair-2019 will start at Bangabandhu International Convention Centre in the capital on Thursday.

The announcement came at a press conference organised by PKSF held at Jatiya Press Club in the capital on Monday.

PKSF Managing Director Mohammad Moinuddin Abdullah presided over the conference.

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina will inaugurate the fair on Thursday as the chief guest while Finance Minister AHM Mustafa Kamal will join the fair as the special guest.

The closing ceremony of the fair will be held on 19 November with Planning Minister MA Mannan as the chief guest.

Participants associated with different economic activities of PKSF across the country will exhibit their products targeting the expansion of the market inside and outside of the country.

Basically, agricultural products and non-agricultural products including food and clothes will display at the fair. 

At least 190 stalls of 130 organisations are working in different peripheral areas of the

country in association with different programmes of PKSF will be installed in the fair.

PKSF Chairman Dr. Qazi Kholiquzzaman Ahmad said, “Five papers will be presented in the development fair and analysing the performance of PKSF in the light of the paper, the next action plan for PKSF will be set in the fair.”

 He said that the activities of PKSF was based on three-five years term projects and officials were happy at the end of the project but the targeted groups, backward communities were impacted by the project very much. The groups would go back to their poverty again.

PKSF deputy managing director  Golam Touhid, deputy margining director Dr Md. Jashim Uddin, senior editorial adviser Prof Shofi Ahmed were present at the press conference.
