Country’s premier bourse, Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) ended Tuesday’s session with a further dip maintaining the sluggish trend of previous day.

Apart from telecom and jute, almost all the sectors, especially the large-cap sectors, registered notable sale that contributed to the further fall in indices, reports BSS.

The broad index, DSEX closed at 4708.68 points on Tuesday with a loss of 52.74 points or 1.10 percent.

Besides, the two selective indices, DSE30 also went down by 14.60 points while the Shariah index, DSES declined by 8.56 points to stand at 1660.88 points and 1080.96 points respectively. The total turnover dropped below Taka 2.9 billion as the investors refrained themselves from putting fresh fund into the ongoing bearish trend of the market.

On the DSE trading floor, a total number of 96,565 trades were executed in today’s trading session with a trading volume of 97.26 million securities.

Losers took a strong lead over the gainers as out of 352 issues traded, 30 securities gained price while 292 declined and 30 remained unchanged.
