Bangladesh national cricketers seemed to have boycotted national ODI skipper Mashrafe Mortaza as he was not seen with them while they placed their eleven-point demand at BCB academy premises on Monday.

According to sources close to Mashrafe, the ODI skipper was not called by his national teammates to join him in the two and a half hour meeting arranged by his national team mates at indoors before coming up to express their demand in front the media later.

It was quite surprising considering Mashrafe had been very vocal whenever players were required to be heard for pressing their demands earlier.

The cricketer-cum-politician who is also member of the parliament is currently having a very low key presence as far as his cricket activity is concerned as he is busy spending his time at Narail from where he is elected as the member of the parliament.

“Where was Mashrafe when they placed the demand,” asked an influential Bangladesh Cricket Board Director on the term of anonymity on Sunday.

“Does this imply that there is no place for him in the national dressing room or is it that we will think there is a rift between national cricketers,” he further added.
