Bank Asia, WorldFish sign MoU

Bank Asia President and Managing Director Md Arfan Ali and WorldFish Chief of Party, Feed the Future Bangladesh Aquaculture Jon Thiele exchange documents after signing an agreement at the WorldFish office at Banani in the city on Thursday.

Bank Asia and WorldFish signed an agreement on introducing a formal financial package for smallholders involved fish farming and aquaculture market actors in three southern districts – Jashore, Satkhira and Barisal with an aim to bring them under digital financial support network.

Md Arfan Ali, President and Managing Director of Bank Asia and Jon Thiele, Chief of Party, Feed the Future Bangladesh Aquaculture and Nutrition Activity signed the agreement on behalf of respective sides at a function held at the Worldfish office at Banani  on Thursday, said a press release.

 Sarder Akhter Hamed, SEVP and Head of Channel Banking, Mostafizur Rahman, EVP & Head of Banani Branch, Ahsan Ul Alam, SVP and Head of Agent Banking, and Sally W. Mallari, Finance and Grants Manager,  Shah Rear Kabir, Senior Specialist of Market Systems and Md. Mahbubul Islam, Market Systems Development Specialist of the WorldFish were present.
