Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) is eyeing to start live streaming the ongoing National Cricket League matches.
BCB had already introduced VDO recording in the club level tournaments but now they are eyeing to introduce live streaming for NCL, country’s lone first-class tournament. But this live streaming which will be conducted through pitch vision apps will not be open for public.
It will be helpful for the national selectors as they can see the live updates of NCL matches without being physically present there.
The camera will be placed at the top of the wicket that will help the selectors to see how the wicket is behaving along with the way batsmen and bowler in the specific strip.
On a trial basis, BCB had started to use this technology at Fatullah Stadium where the NCL match between Barisal Division and Chattogram Division is going on.
BCB wants to start live streaming in the three other venues situated outside Dhaka.
“We have just started this streaming. We are doing it at Fatullah and there is logistical issues involved with it but we are hoping to do it across all the other venues,” BCB’s Management Information System manager Nasir Ahmed.
