‘Taprobane Food Festival’ begins at Peninsula

CHATTOGRAM: A 14-day ‘Taprobane Food Festival’ began at The Peninsula Chittagong in the port city on Friday.

Sri Lankan High Commissioner Crisanthe De Silva inaugurated the festival as the chief guest.

The festival was organised to provide the food lovers with different flavours assembled especially from the authenticity of Sri Lanka, organisers said.

The inaugural ceremony was also decorated with colorful Sri Lankan theme and featured with live music by international singer from the country.

The hotel offered buffet having over 80 cuisines and 20 rich desserts along with some special menus.

The Buy-1-Get-1-Free buffet will be available at Tk 3,500 per person all-inclusive. Brigadier General Md Amirul Islam Sikder, Peninsula General Manager Mushtak Luhar and other corporate guests attended the inaugural ceremony at Laguna Restaurant.
