Navy chief returns home after Australia tour

Chief of Navy Staff Admiral Aurangzeb Chowdhury returned home on Tuesday night after attending the ‘Sea Power Conference 2019’.

Australian Navy organised the conference.

Assistant Navy Chief (operations) Rear Admiral M Mokbul Hossain and Navy Administrative authorities Dhaka Commodore SM Abul Kalam Azad welcomed the navy chief at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in the capital.

During his visit to Sydney, the navy chief participated in a variety of thematic discussions, which was held at the conference.

Besides, Admiral Aurangzeb Chowdhury called on the chief of the French Navy Admiral Christophe Prazuck, Chief of US Seventh Fleet Vice Admiral William Bill Merz, Chief of Indian Eastern Naval Command Vice Admiral Atul Kumar Zain and Chief of Australian Navy Vice Admiral Michael Noonan.

He also exchanged views with representatives of other countries attended the conference. Navy Chief Admiral Aurangzeb Chowdhury left Dhaka for Australia on October 6.
