Sinners And Confessors For Edward the Confessor

Each day there are tiny songbirds

That hum inside the canopy

Of my brain;

It is as though hundreds

Of them are awe-struck,

Praying and praising

The good Lord day in, day out.

As the sinners and confessors,

They too beseech redemption.

They make room for the next;

And others.
