Dr Md Khairul Islam has joined WaterAid as its regional representative, said a press release.

WaterAid is an international non-profit organisation working for over 30 years across 28 countries around the world offering people and communities safe drinking water, sanitation and hygiene.

Prior to his new position, Dr Islam served as the Country Director of WaterAid Bangladesh for over 11 years, the press release added.

Effective October 1, Dr Islam will assume the responsibility of Regional Director and will be based in the Bangladesh Country Office. As part of South Asia lead, he will be responsible for Bangladesh, Pakistan, Myanmar, Nepal and India operations.
