Freshers’ reception held at PCIU

Orientation programme of newly admitted students of Port City International University (PCIU) for ‘Fall Trimester’ was held at PCIU auditorium in the city on Saturday.

Chittagong University (CU) Acting Vice Chancellor Professor Dr Shireen Akhter was present as the chief guest at the programme.

Addressing the programme, Professor Shireen said students should acquire all kinds of knowledge to be a businessman, politician and entrepreneur along with the academician.  

“The students will have to prepare themselves for the 4th industrial revolution to go ahead in this competitive world,” she observed.

PCIU Vice Chancellor Professor Dr Md Nural Anwar presided over the programme while Board of Trustee Members Professor Dr M Majibur Rahman, Md Mizanur Rahman and Ehsanul Hoque Rizon also addressed it among others.

A total of 74 students were awarded scholarships in different categories at the programme.

A colorful cultural programme also followed the discussion session.
