DNCC runs ‘combing drive’

Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC) conducted ‘combing drive’ for the sixth day on Saturday to destroy breeding grounds of Aedes mosquito, which is the carrier of the virus causing dengue fever,  at residences and establishments under its 36 wards. On the second phase of the drive, DNCC teams inspected around 9,946 residences and establishments under the wards.

The drive teams found mosquito larvae in 23 residences and establishments and put up cautionary stickers. The teams also found mosquito breeding and favorable environment in at least 6061 residences and establishments and destroyed it.

Ward councilors of 36 wards supervised the drive in their respective ward.
