BNP secretary general Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir on Friday said the ruling Awami League leaders themselves are now disclosing that they are involved in ‘misrule’, ‘corruption’ and ‘repression’.

“Awami League men themselves are exposing that they are indulging in misrule, corruption and repression. The leaders of Awami League, Jubo League and Chhatra League have proved simultaneously that they are plundering wealth of the people of Bangladesh,” he said.

The BNP leader came up with the statements while addressing a human-chain arranged by Jatiyatabadi Jubo Dal in front of the Jatiya Press Club in the capital.

Referring media reports, Fakhrul said the leaders of Awami League and Jubo League are running 60 casinos in the capital.

“Now they (the ruling party men) are caught by themselves. But the incumbent government and Awami League are patronising these,” he said.

In his speech, Mirza Fakhrul also demanded the government to cancel the current parliament and arrange an election under neutral election-time government by forming a commission with neutral persons.
