Bangladesh Under-16 Women’s Football team were thrashed by Japan by 0-9 goals in their match of the eight-nation AFC U-16 Women’s Championship at IPE Chonburi Stadium on Wednesday.
Maika Hamano, Momoko Nebu and Ririka Tanno scored two goals each while Moe Ota, Kyono Hiranka and Manaka Hayashi scored bagged one each.
Bangladesh, which put in four-team Group A alongside hosts Thailand, Australia and Japan earlier conceded 0-1 goal defeat against hosts Thailand in the opening match at Chonburi Stadium on Sunday, despite missing some good chances.
In their last group match, Bangladesh will play Australia on Saturday (Sept 21) at IPE Chonburi Stadium.
