Bangladesh face Japan today

Bangladesh U-16 Women’s National Football Team will take on strong Japan in their group A second match of the AFC U-16 Women’s Championship scheduled to be held today at IPE Chonburi Stadium in Chonburi, Thailand.

The match kicks off at 3:00pm (BST).

Prior to the second match, the girls in red and green underwent their morning training session training this (Tuesday) morning at Pattan Golf training ground.

All players are in good health, but with Tasura and captain Maria Manda have some muscle soreness, according to a message received here from Bangladesh Football Federation today.

Team’s vice Captain Akhi Khatun, offered a positive perspective by saying that: “we will execute our game plans, concentrate throughout and play with our Bangladesh passion,” read the press release.

Bangladesh, drawn in group A along with host Thailand, Japan and Australia will play their last group match against Australia on September 21 at the same venue.

Earlier, on Sunday, Bangladesh suffered a solitary goal defeat to host Thailand in their group A opening match.
