Turongomi’s new production ‘Ho Chi Minh’ to be premiered tomorrow

Popular dance troupe Turongomi’s latest production ‘Ho Chi Minh’ will be premiered at the National Theatre Hall of Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy tomorrow.

There will be two staging of the production at 7:30 pm and 8:30 pm respectively.

The production- Ho Chi Minh is based on the life, journey and philosophy of the legendary Vietnamese leader Ho Chi Minh. Besides, Ho Chi Minh, the production aims to showcase a glimpse of legendary leader Vladimir Lenin. This is going to be the first ever biography dance theatre in the world.

On September 6, 2019, Ho Chi Minh will be staged again at the National Theatre Hall, after Vietnam’s National Day celebration by the Embassy of the SR of Vietnam in Bangladesh. The staging on September 6, 2019, is already being reserved.

These ticket shows are open for all. Tickets are available at all outlets of BishwaRong and Studio Padma, New Iskaton and at the venue cash counter before show.

On January 21 in 2019 Turongomi premiered ‘Waterness’ - the first ever dance theatre in Bangladesh. In past four years the repertory has brought many short length choreographies to its audience, but’ Ho Chi Minh’ is the full length dance theatre by Turongomi after Waterness. “Ho Chi Minh-Biography Dance Theatre” is produced and performed by Turongomi Repertory Dance Theatre.

The production is conceptualised, scripted, designed, choreographed and directed by Pooja Sengupta; music is done by Suman Sarkar. The production is supported by The Embassy of the SR of Vietnam in Bangladesh.
