BENAPOLE: An influential local is building a concrete structure grabbing a portion of the land of Kashimnagar High School at Kashimnagar village in Monirampur upazila of the Jashore district.

Ansar Ali Gazi backed by some locals has started construction of a concrete building on the southeastern side of the school land a few days ago, claiming the Headmaster and school teachers.

Though Ansar Ali Gazi claims that he is the real owner of the land, he could not show any papers to prove his claim, said Hasanuzaman, headmaster of the school.

We have already informed the upazila education officer of the matter and sought his immediate intervention to save the land, construction of a concrete structure on the land is going on, “but local administration is yet to take any step to stop it.” the headmaster added.

Upazila Education Officer Bikas Chandra Sarker said some ruling party men have assured him of resolving the issue as soon as possible. “If they fail to solve the problem, we shall go for legal action against them,” the education officer said.

Upazila Nirbahi Officer Ahsan Ullah Sharifi said no one had any opportunity to build any structure of the school land. We investigated the matter.
