RCC opens 2 more secondary transfer stations

RAJSHAHI: Rajshahi City Corporation (RCC) has opened two more modern Secondary Transfer Stations (STSs) here on Saturday aiming at removing and managing the household wastes and garbage in a modern and hygienic manner.

Constructed at a cost of Taka 2.14 crore, the stations were installed at Terakhadia and Kazla areas in order to meet up the citizens’ demands, reports BSS.

RCC Mayor AHM Khairuzzaman Liton accompanied by some of his council members and office colleagues opened the stations in two separate ceremonies.

Speaking on the occasions, Mayor Liton said two more similar type STSs are going to be opened at Rajshahi Medical College and Rajshahi University within near future.
